Cheek Augmentation - Before and After Photos
A Beauty Sign
Cheeks and cheekbones are considered to be those things that make one’s face look sexier and more attractive. Leading experts in the world of beauty focus on this aspect selecting actresses, models, and fashion icons.
Indeed, full lips and accurate noses are not everything in the facial plastic surgery. Many women prefer to have an attractive face contour with high cheekbones. That’s when cheek augmentation rushes to help and satisfy the most sophisticated needs.
Cheek implants may be of two types: malar and submalar. They are given these names for the areas where they are placed. The malar area is located in the upper cheek region. If the cheekbones are strongly expressed and high the face gets this desirable outlook with high and attractive cheekbones. The submalar area is located a little lower, it generally gets affected by the sagged skin as people get older. If you have already seen before and after photos of cheek augmentation and like the visual results, then you may think of undergoing this plastic surgery.
Materials
Materials for molar implants are generally of the two types – solid and porous. The first ones are produced of silicone, the latter ones – of polyethylene. Surgeons know that these two types should be treated differently as they differently affect a human face. Solid implants get surrounded by a “capsule”, of a kind of tissue. The other type gets fixed by a surgeon, who selects tissues around it and fixes the implants by bone ingrowths.
From this point of view, porous implants are strongly fixed and won’t move around causing some patients’ complaints. But you should realize that this kind of implants is more expensive and the process of cheek augmentation is longer and more difficult.
Placement
In the majority of cases plastic surgeons choose either an incision inside a patient’s mouth above the upper or a so-called “Transconjunctival” incision, when it is made below the lower eyelid. Then a doctor makes a special pocket where the implant gets placed. In most cases the process of fixation is natural. It means that a human body gets this implant and fixes it by forming a capsule around it.
Cheek augmentation is getting more and more popular these days for its tremendous results in improving one’s appearance, proved by wonderful before and after photos of this cosmetic procedure that you may find in the web.
