One word to describe that picture:  Creepy.  She has to live with what she did to herself every morning when she wakes up.  Is she satisfied now?  I pity anyone insecure enough that they feel plastic surgery is their only answer.  Obviously there are deeper underlying issues going on there.  What a pity.

I think anyone wishing to have plastic surgery should do their research. Pay the extra money to have it done by a reputable surgeon. What a shame that she looks disfigured. The ladies out there who wants to have plastic surgery, do your homework, make sure you get references.

It's a shame Joan has developed a compulsion for plastic surgery.  She looked quite natural in photographs until just recently.  Anyone who goes under the knife as often as Joan has done has some serious issues.  Her face looks like something that belongs in a circus sideshow act.  How hideous and shameful.  The unforgiving price of vanity, I suppose.

It's not just the terrible plastic surgery....her makeup artist should be shot!  Those eyebrows are more than three shades darker than they should be.  She should ease up on the hair bleach too.  She used to be such a beauty.  I'm sure she would have aged gracefully if she'd have just given it a chance.

She looks like Dana Carvey tried to turn himself into a woman, without much success.....

i think that she should sue the surgeon for the job that he did to her.  She looks better before the surgery.

I was in New York for this segment of the Today Show.  As I watched this interview with the women of Knot's Landing, I was horrified at Joan Van Arc's looks.  The woman standing next to me gasped at the same time I did when we saw her.  The words that escaped from our lips were "creepy", "tragic" and "freaky!" People...beware!  This is a warning to all!  I would much rather age naturally than subject myself to someone's knife skills and come out looking like a freak of nature! Look what Joan Van Arc did to herself as she sought the vain fountain of youth.  Scary...very, very scary!

This is entirely the fault of PATRIARCHY of which the ultra right wing Dalymail is one of the leading forces. Women in acting are victims of the male conspiracy to suppress and ultimately perhaps even anihalate women, reducing us to plasticised robotic freaks by order of unrealistic demands shouted out by the magazine's. And by the look of the plastic seargeant herself, exagerrated lips and massive, unrealistic bosoms, your "news"paper (as you fascist idiots would no doubt call it) will not relent in its mission to humiliate the female gender. You create situations like this and then laugh at it. Shame on all of you.

Memo to all the vain women who decide to get facial work done: Always - ALWAYS cover up the neck. All those crevices and wrinkles are a dead giveaway. That first picture looks like she has the Grand Canyon under her chin. I don't see how these women think they now look good. Maybe they should get cataract surgery instead of plastic.

Okay guys don't call me stupid or anything like that but what did she have done?  She's still so wrinkled, she looks like she aging really really bad to me. 

I wonder what happened to her, she was never very pretty, compared to the other women in the show...but she looks monstrous now..it has to be a bad plastic surgeon...very bad....I see other celebrities who have surgery and they look great....

She needs to stop covering herself in flour...and less make up...make up is good, but not trowelled on...and maybe a little color on her lips...I dont know..its not good..and neither is Presley...she was very pretty must have gone to the same plastic surgeon...!!! Michael Jacksons...

 It always makes me sad and uneasy when I see the results of plastic surgery, especially on women born with such beauty.  I think you can go to the best known surgeon and still can not be certain of the results.  When I saw Joan's and others like Faucet, Michael Jackson, Char post surgery I usually just gasp.

So very sad!  It makes you wonder what she thinks she looks like?  I can't imagine that any wrinkles or sagging she had before could have possibly looked worse than this.

(On a mean side note, Denise Richards has the same neck and she's a good 20 years younger!)

It looks like there's no blood flow to the skin in her lower face due to its discoloration.Her face looks half dead. It also looks like a misshap with Cover Girl base of the wrong shade!

Maybe if our soceity would cut women a break this would not happen.  It is amost a crime for women to age.  They become

invisable at a certain age. Cut the women some slack.  There are a lot of pressures out there. 

What is wrong with aging the normal way?

Do they really think they look pretty having so much plastic surgery?  

Well her eyes and nose still look very pretty. The skin in the lower part of her face is bluish because she has no circulation there. If the area gets worse, the flesh may actually die. If this is the best she can lookj like covered with makeup, imagine how blue and discolored the skin is without make up. Also, she needs lipstick, but her lips are misshapen from being pulled so tight, that she can't wear lipstick. Because she doesn't want to draw attention to her lips being pulled out towards her ears. She might actually look OK in 2 years when this facelift begins to loosen up. I hope.

Good Luck Joan! And please go public with your Doctor's name so that you can put that bastard out of business.

I think living in Hollywood must warp people's sense of perception to the point that this alien type look becomes "normal" to the eye.

I think it's the makeup. If her lips were not the same color of her skin, she would look more nice.
