I see what your getting at. But why does it bother you so much. if your in contempt with the way you look, why must it bother you that other people, who are insecure about a feature of their body, who have the ability to fix that insecurity, get plastic surgery. It makes them happier and have more confidence. Yes is sends a message that beauty fits in a narrow definition, but if thats what they want, why get sicken by it? Why not be happy for them that they now feel more confident and beautiful? Im indifferent about plastic surgery, i believe people should try to live with the way they are, but if they feel the need to got something done, then why not? But people do need to be careful about getting addicted to plastic surgery (which does happen). once one insecurity is fix they tend to find another and another....

I completely agree. one friend of mine has a huge nose and freckles all over, and she is, with all honesty, the most beautiful girl i've ever seen. I really do feel a bit sorry for those who get plastic surgery, they must feel so unsatisfied with their natural body. and considering what the "LOL" character wrote, true, i dont particularly like everything in my body. but i'v come to accept many imperfections and it would feel really weird and alien to change them.
